Unique Selling Propositions:

Today, demand of the world is the unique quality. If there is uniqueness in you then only you are appreciated and can grab the attention otherwise you will be seen same as a part of the crowd moving equally among them. Same is the case in the business world. Here it is called as unique selling proposition as the business world completely follows the path of buying and selling.

The Unique Selling Proposition (Unique Selling Point or USP) is a marketing concept that was first proposed as a theory to explain a pattern among successful advertising campaigns of the early 1940s. It states that such campaigns made unique propositions to the customer and that this convinced them to switch brands. The term was invented by Rosser Reeves of Ted Bates & Company. Today the term is used in other fields or just casually to refer to any aspect of an object that differentiates it from similar objects.

Let’s ask a simple question yourself? What makes you more unique, more valuable, and more visible in the market? You must have heard the old saying “Differentiate or Die”. In our highly competitive world, you have to be unique and fill a special niche to be successful in the market area. Yet one of the most harmful mistakes small businesses make is not being unique and positioning themselves as the best choice in the market.

Having a USP will dramatically improve the positioning and marketability of your company and products by accomplishing 3 things for you:

1. Unique – It clearly sets you apart from your competition, positioning you the more logical choice.

2. Selling – It persuades another to exchange money for a product or service.

3. Proposition – It is a proposal or offer suggested for acceptance.

The Force That Drives Your Business and Sales Success
Your USP is the force that drives your business and success. It can also be used as a “branding” tool that deploys strategy with every tactical marketing effort you use such as an ad, a postcard, or web site. This allows you to build a lasting reputation while you’re making sales. The ultimate goal of your USP and marketing is to have people say to you… “Oh, yes I’ve heard of you. You’re the company who…” – And then respond by requesting more information or purchasing.
Here we have placed an ad of Environplastech, a packing strip. The unique selling proposition or USP of the product is its strength. It forms the best use for packing with an eco – friendly nature. These USP will make the product stand out of the box.

Upgrade your Brand Image with our creative work:

A Brochure is the most important tool for providing Company’s overall information to the prospects. It helps to bestow credibility and professionalism to the enterprise, at a time when it is endeavouring to become known in the market. Successful companies dedicate a lot of time and energy in to supervising how they are seen by the world.

From a corporate logo to the use of specific colours and layouts, a visual corporate image contains a message far beyond that of the text. It leads to the idea that first impression of how professional and reliable your corporation is. Here, potential clients base decisions not only on the content of a message, but on how well it is presented. For each and every industry, there is a specific image that will be most appealing to a target audience.

Approach Media Pvt. Ltd. succeeded in shaping and accomplishing this business strategy by designing powerful and memorable brochure designs.

A well – visualized, conceptualized and designed brochure is a marketers’ biggest asset. It is an invincible marketing tool.

We at Approach Media Pvt. Ltd. design ultimate brochure designs to attract the prospect customers towards their clients. These days we are busy in designing of Aira. It is a valve manufacturing company and a very good client of us. Their main motto was to inform their target audience about their product.

In the brochure design you will notice that we have given product the utmost importance. On seeing the brochure the prospects will have the idea about the product and the company as well. When you analyze the detailing of the ad you will realize that the features of the product have been highlighted as headline and tagline. For instance “Double offset metal seat high performance butterfly valve” and other tagline is “Tight shut off”.

The colour combination of this brochure is perfect according to the profile of the company. White and light blue looks appropriate for it. The front page layout has been divided in to upper larger part and lower shorter part, with a designer patch.

In the back page various specification of the valve has been given.

Thus, overall designing is creative and superb.

Corporate Logo:

A corporate logo is a powerful corporate identity tool and, as the symbol by which public recognizes a firm, is in some cases more valuable than the physical assets of the firm.

The essence of design is actualization of a concept or idea into a configuration, drawing model, mould, pattern, plan or stipulation or specification (on which the actual or commercial production of an item is based) and which helps attain the item’s designated aim.

We at Approach Media have designed many corporate logos. Vision Acry Glass is one of our client for whom we have designed corporate logo. The identity of the company is represented by a logo, therefore we have given a corporate look to the logo. We have provided many options to our client.

Here, you can see that it is a Symbol Logo. In this logo the first and the last letter of the word VISION has been used to make an appropriate symbol to give it a corporate look. The combination of “V” and “N” has made a very attractive symbol for the logo.

When you look at it clearly you will visualize first letter of the word two “V” each opposite to each other. And from another angle it looks “N”, the last letter of the word “VisioN”

The colour combination of Red, Green and Blue looks attractive and eye catching. Red is the colour of blood therefore it stands for the strength and power. Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety.

Blue is the colour of sea and sky. Therefore, it stands for depth, stability and confidence and communicates the same for the company.

So now you can see how the design of a logo determines the company’s characters with its appropriate image.

A general background of logos:

Every event or everything existing on this earth has its history. From human to animals, from science to management and from product positioning to logos, all have a historical importance. As our National flag expresses a distinct image and identity of our country, just like that a logo helps to represent the name and define the character of a corporation. Efficient logos become similar with the organizations they showcase. They are immediately recognized by millions of people, help to identify their companies and convey a message about the brands for which they stand. Tata, Coca Cola, Nike, McDonald’s logos are some of the most globally recognized logos.

One of the earliest logos anyone who is alive today will remember is that of the dog Nipper sitting in front of a phonograph and listening very intently. The motto “His Master’s Voice” is part of that logo. This logo made its debut in 1910.

The use of logos as trademarks goes back in time to the early days of the Renaissance, the 13th Century. Goldsmiths’ marks, paper makers’ watermarks were among the first logos used in this way, as trademarks. Trademarks, in today’s world of advertising, provide an easy method for recognizing a particular product.

It is really great to analyze the meaning of the design behind some of the corporate logos. In some cases like Cisco, the idea behind the logo is fairly obvious but in case of Fedex, one will notice that why they spent over a million of dollars to come with a logo and Nike just cost $35 only. Companies with creative names fascinate us a lot.

It is really interesting to know about the symbolic representation of logos. The idea behind their design and concept of the logo, if we look at the logo of Kingfisher Airlines, its logo is inspired by a bird called kingfisher. The bird was kept in mind as it flies up high in the sky. To give resemblance to the brand as high as the bird flies, the company used its name and picture. Though it is going through major economic setbacks but it really touched the sky in its time and now also has an appropriate image in their prospect customers. The company is basically recognized by its corporate logo, which comes in the type of combination logo.

Professional flyers design can make an effective impact or impression for your organization or for the corporate look. Our creative designing helps our clients to outshine their competitors. We at Approach Media design creative piece for our client’s promotional activities. We take challenges to design beyond ones imagination. From visualizing the concept to implementation we always follow a sense of style of the company. So if you are in a dilemma relating to the promotional activities of your product or brand, let us be the brand development ultimate solution for your organization.

These days we are busy in the flyer designing of Vishvacon. They are very good client of Approach Media Pvt. Ltd. Earlier also we have worked for them. We have made their ads and panels. This time we got the opportunity to prepare the flyer for the company. Flyers are the best means of communicating required information to the target audience. We have made gear box design, the combination of yellow and grey on gear box is looking attractive on the part of product advertising.

The background image has been creatively used to enhance the product effectively. Other than that the creative oval, orange patch works as dividing area of the product ground and the bottom area, it provides clarity to the entire flyer design.

The information related to IEE Expo 2012 has been nicely put at the top to draw the attention of the target audience. In fact, this flyer is inviting the prospects to visit the stalls to make a perfect identity in the market. The red tag on the yellow paper image gives a notifying look on which the eyes will definitely fall and will place invitation in front of the audience.

Digital Media refers to electronic media that works on digital codes. Today computing is primarily based on binary numerical system. In this digital refers to the discrete state of “0” and “1” for representing arbitrary data.

Digital Media is what computer use to store, transmit, receive and manipulate data. Raw data are character number images, sound, element that when put together, and arranged to form a meaningful information.

Digital Media like distributed via digital audio, digital video and other digital “content” can be created, referred to, and distributed via digital information processing machine.

Now, we will see some definitions regarding digital media.

Florid’s digital media industry defines digital media as science, technology and business for human expression, communication, social interaction and education.

Digital Media is what is made or produced electronically and stored in file.

Digital media is a more technique using a number system called Binary.

Historical background of Digital Media:

The history of digital media starts with the development of the number 0 by the Babylonians about 2000 BC. Early use of something like zero by the Indian Scholar Pingala, implied at first glance by his use of binary numbers, is only the technology binary representation using 0 and 1 applied to Pingala’s binary system, which used short and long syllables [the latter equal in length to two short syllable.

Flansis Bacon researched the first binary alphabetic character. The intended use was to establish secret communication.

For example cities under siege and armies abroad.

Leibniz was the first mathematician to develop calculation in the binary system.

Care Friedisice Guass first electrifies binary information in his telegraphy experiments. He replaced “1” with “+” and “0” with “-“and translate binary information in to electric current.

A memorable logo graphic:

In our previous blog we dealt about the symbol logo, in which we told you about its various uses for the company’s image making. Today we are telling you about the Combination logo.

Combination logo:

A logo that in some way unite both a symbol and the company name can be termed as Combination Logo. The symbol and text can be merged together, side by side, or with one located above the other.

Combination logos are the most common type of logo for several reasons:

A combination logo provides the best of both worlds. This type of logo offers a memorable logo graphic that tells the story that what a company is all about, what it does, and what makes it different, all in connection with the business name for easy recognition.

A combination logo is a brilliant option for a small- or medium-sized company or a company just starting out, to begin to build brand recognition, because a combination logo is both visually solid and explanatory. The symbol can verbalize to the services that the company offers, while the company name increases the company recognition.

Combination logos are easier to copyright and protect than a symbol-only logo, because the logo symbol will always be used in connection with the business name. This automatically makes the logo unique.

Here, we have placed an example of Combination Logo. We have designed this for our client Riolam. Noble Laminates is the logo of the company. Here, text as well as symbol of Globe has been used. Green globe symbolizes the purity and greenery all over.

We give ultimate solutions to determine the best type of logo to design or to have designed for your company, based on the size of your business, how well-known you are, your business name, and your business plans, among other elements. Selecting the right type of logo design is the first step in creating your company’s appearance, visibility, credibility, and memorably.

Symbol logo:

A symbol logo is the opposite extreme in design from a text logo. This type of logo includes neither words nor letters—only symbols, images and shapes.

A symbol logo works well when:

When a company already has a high level of brand recognition. If a company is a well known and what it does are already widely known, then the company can use a symbol logo as an elegant and clean solution.

When a company is using a combination logo for some time and have now built up enough brand recognition for the symbol to stand alone. This is a common transition for a logo design to take when your company grows.

When a company has a unique symbol—you wouldn’t want to be confused with or mistaken for anyone else in the industry!

Companies have the time and energy to trademark their logo, and then to police and enforce that trademark. This is how a company ensures that their logo continues to be uniquely their own.

If a company has a global presence and can develop a universal, graphic symbol that speaks to you and audiences. Additionally, a symbol can have meanings on many levels, and can also have different meanings in different cultures.

A text logo may not be the right choice if:

You are a company just starting out; you must have the budget and desire to educate your audience on your new symbol logo. This can be a difficult task.

A long lasting impact on the consumers mind:

Logos are symbolic representation of a company. It is an image and identity of a company. Logos form the criteria on which people differentiate their products or brands. The symbol or text of the logo creates a visual impact on the minds of the target audience. The logos of Tata, the Birla, Mafatlal, Godrej etc. have created visual impact for a long time and till now it is there in the minds of the people. Today also almirahs are called as godrej. Detergents are known by the name of Surf. These are some examples which are always remembered at the time of logo designing, as it gives enthusiasm to the designers to create something whose essence can be felt to the last time.

There are three basic types of logos: text, symbol, and combination logos. The type of logo that will work best for your company depends on a number of considerations, such as the size of your company, the uniqueness of your name, and a variety of other factors.

Text Logo:

A text logo (also sometimes called a logotype or word mark) is a logo largely made up of the text of the company’s name. This type of logo can have some graphic elements—lines, boxes, borders—that interact with, surround, or even form the letters. However, the graphic elements should be used as an accent to the text, not as a major or equally-weighted part of the logo.

A text logo works well when:

You have a multi-word business name. If your business name is made up of many words, that are not commonly or easily abbreviated, or when an abbreviation may not be appropriate developing a text logo will keep the logo design as simple and clean as possible.

You’re working with an innovative, unique business name, as with Yahoo or Google. In each case, the business name is enough to make the logo memorable.7

You’re designing a logo for a large company that offers many types of products, services, or a combination of both, that may be hard to define or “wrap up” in a single picture or symbol.

You’re designing a logo “for the long haul”—there is less concern about your company “outgrowing” a text logo—they are timeless and classic.

Trademark protection is highly important—as long as your business name is unique, then a text logo will also be unique.

A text logo may not be the right choice if:

Your business name is not unique; this can mean difficulty for building your brand recognition. Then, without a symbol, the logo will be more difficult to remember or to associate with your business.

Your business name does not describe what you do; it can be hard to tell what products or services you offer when just a text logo is used. Taglines or other graphic elements will need to be employed to tell your audience more about your business.

In our next blog we will be telling you about other types of logos. So stay tuned with our blogs.
